Well hello there, little lamp!

I've been working with a small project for weeks now. I though it was supposed to take a day or two, but first the glue went out, then the baking cups, and then the glue again, and then the baking cups, you get it. But now it's done.

A little pennant

I LOVE pennants, as many others do these days.
Any way, I usually do some a year, had one in my Christmas Tree, remember? for Love's (yes, in Sweden you can name your kid Love.) birthday I decided to do a special one, wishing him a happy birthday. I made three. One in french and one in english too. *SO MUCH TIME LEFT* or I was just bored.
OK, so I printed these monograms from Martha Stewart (Martha is my middle name, by the way, how convenient!) I love them, C used them for almost the same thing when they baptised her kid.

And they you'll just need colored paper and a string.
It got real nice with the washi tape and two colored string!

Something to hang in the Christmas tree

This year I bought my first tree, guess it came with my 25th birthday. Hated it, but apparently, I grew up this year. Anyway, we bought this huge tree, but had nothing to decorate it with, so we decided to buy some decorations in thrift stores or vintage shops, but also so make a lot of decorations by our selves. 

My favorite is the snowflake.
You'll need pearls, I used transparent, white and red ones.

Make the in any shape you like, my friend Charlotte came up with the polka idea!

An easy gift

Yesterday we went to a friend for some Glögg. I've been raised to always give something small to the host. So I took a look at home and realized I had some vax and candles at home, so I made some Christmas candles.
You can buy the vax in a crafts shop, I save the vax from cheese (I don't think the candles smell cheese when I lit them though...).
Cut the vax in any shape you like, I like dots and lines.

When one year is over, another starts

When I was a kid we always bought a classic calendar sold by KFUK-KFUM (YMCA/YWCA in Sweden) I haven't seen them for years, so I decided to make one of my own.
I bought the calendar in a book shop and painted houses on a shed of paper. I was lucky and had a piece of cardboard left in a drawer, so I mounted it and then cut it out.
Now we have a calendar at home and maybe I''ll remember which  day and date it is.

A great gift

My sister turned 23 in the end of November. I made her a light strand to hang somewhere in her apartment. All you need is a lightning strand, some cute paper cups (they don't need to be this christmasy, and you can change every season!) and a knife. Let's begin!This is what you need. Make sure you have as many cups as there is lights on the strand.

Cut an X and simply pull the lights through the X. 

Now they're done!

There are tiny clouds in my bedroom

I made these pompoms some days ago, and hung them temporarily in our bedroom lamp, but I think they'll stay there forever from now on. Think they look like tiny clouds. If I can't fall a sleep, I can always count clouds instead of sheep.

If you want to make your own clouds, or pompoms, whatever you wanna call it, you'll need napkins or tissue paper, and thread. I used the same cotton thread as I used to the christmas decorations.

Liberty pendant

These days I don´t sew as much as before, but I can never throw anything away. 
 I saved all the small and large pieces of fabric that I have ever used. 
Of these, I do some nice jewelry, silver plated pendants with autentic Liberty fabric.

Two doors, two wreaths.

Sunday means crafts day for us two. 

This particular sunday, we decided to start decoration for christmas, 

only 22 days left until the big day.

If you want to do one by your self, you'll need a styrofoam wreath and some inspiration.
We used moss, colored wire, fabric, buttons, satin ribbons and small thing we found at home.

When you miss a string or just want to make a nice envelope

I always try to make thing I send to people a bit nicer. Things I've sold on Ebay or letters to friends. I like them to look cute and I like the person who receive it to be happy. So I draw a ribbon onto the letter, or package. And if I don't got any string at home, I do the same thing wrapping gifts. Super easy, all you need is wrapping paper, sticky tape, a pen and something to wrap off course!

40 days to christmas

I know it's only mid-November, but to cope with the grey and the rain here, I try to pretend Christmas is closer than it actually is.

Today I made some Christmas decoration to the tree we'll get in December. Since it's the first time we'll have our own Christmas tree, L and I, we have no decorations, no glitter nor lights to decorate it with. I've decided to do a lot of origami for the tree and then try to find some vintage decorations also. 

 You'll need eight sheds of origami square papers, nylon thread and a cotton thread.

 A tiny step-by-step guide how to make the little gift:

Fold on the middle, twice, fold in 1/4, as on the picture and fold triangles.

Make four of these

 And then merge them into one

Make two (lid and buttom) and use the needle and the nylon thread to make the hanger.

Then just make a tiny ribbon and you're done!
