The most beautiful thing I'll ever wear

We're planning our wedding.
It's only one month since L asked me to marry him in Paris, but we're not the kind of people who wait and plan and dream. We do things.
It took us three days from the first time we met 'til we changed relationship status on Facebook. It took me four days to move from Stockholm to Gothenburg. An it took me a month to move into his apartment.
You hear. We don't do things slowly.
So therefore, we don't plan to plan our wedding for 18 months, or ever six, as it seems right now. We want to do this and not wait our whole life.
This is my dress, it's 40's vintage and I found it in a shop here in Gothenburg, and for the first time ever, something in a vintage store fitted perfectly from the beginning. It'll need some stitches and some buttons, but then, it's more than perfect.

In my cupboards pt 2

It's time for part two in this little serie of mine called In my cupboards. Some things we just have at home, and we forget to enjoy them. This is why I do this, I have so much stuff which almost never see the daylight. This is for all that stuff. A 15 minutes of fame. Or just daylight...
In one of my most likely to be forgotten cupboards I store all my pots and pottery, I had a brief idea I would only buy white pots, that was just an idea and now when I find something I like, I buy it, wether white or not.

These are my best pots, one day, we can say tomorrow, I'll by flowers and plants for all of these. So they'll be watched and enjoyed.

They are all from old Swedish potteries, from the top: Steninge, Uppsala Ekeby x5, Rörstrands x2.

In my cupboards part 1

I'm a collector, it's in my blood, my parents have always saved everything, an old wheel to a stroller, an old painting no one likes, an almost to well used pair of sneakers. They don't throw anything away. And that way I was raised, and now I'm getting more and more alike my parents.
I love old stuff, but to say I've always had would be a lie, when I was a kid I love IKEA, just because it was the opposite of what we had at home, my parents antique, dark furniture... But I've grown into the old habits of my parents and now I'm here, living at 900 sq ft. and can't throw away anything. I like all my stuff, not to say I love some of it.
So, from now on, I was thinking I should show what's in my cupboards. (That's also an old bad habit of mine, to look into peoples cupboards when I'm visiting...)

These glasses L bought to me, after he had heard me complain about the so frequently used cone-formed champagne glasses, he found these in an antique shop in Haga in Gothenburg and they are perfect for special occasions, or occasions which just need to be a bit more special then they are, a dull tuesday or so. He found six of them and bought 'em all, even though one had a small crack. I don't think (opposite to my mother who would never buy anything with a crack in it) that matters really. They are old and a litte worn, but one of them still have a sticker saying "Trelleborg" that's a Swedish city, so now we know they're Swedish, but the rest is just up to our imagination.

A dress I'll never wear

I found this dress in a vintage shop. I was looking for a great dress to wear at a masquerade. And I found this. I loved it, but wanted my boyfriend to have a look too, so I asked him to meet me in the shop later that day. He loved it to. So I decided, I had to have it. The girl in the shop smiled the biggest smile I've ever seen,
and she said: Oh, it's a lovely dress!
I answered: It sure is! And good I finally found one.
She replied: Oh, when is the big date?
I answered, quite confuzed: Tomorrow night.
She the said: Oh, then you are very lucky you found a dress.
That's when I realize it's a wedding dress.
My boyfriend and I have bought a wedding dress for the wedding which isn't coming. At least not before he propose to me (which ha still haven't, and we bought the dress in December 2011).
I pay for the dress and walk home, hand in hand with my boyfriend.
And I wore a black Downton Abbey-inspired dress the other night instead. The wedding dress is still in the closet waiting for someone to get married. I'm thinking of starting a bride's rental shop. This will be my favorite.
